How to make comforting Gajar Matar Ki Sabzi at home

Easy Gajar Matar ki Sabzi

When it comes to comforting vegetarian meals of winter months, Gajar Matar ki Sabzi is loved by many of us. Also, it is one of the easiest and healthiest sabzi that goes well with both roti and rice. And if you are in the mood for some, here's the most comforting and easy recipe to try at home.

Ingredients



2 cups carrots, 1 cup green peas, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 small onion, 1 tsp ginger, ½ tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, ½ tsp red chilli powder, salt to taste, ½ tsp garam masala, and 2 tbsp coriander leaves

Step 1


First of all, peel, wash, and chop carrots. Also, wash the green peas and set them aside.

Next, heat oil in a pan and cumin seeds and let them splutter.

Add onion and sauté till soft and lightly golden. Also, add ginger and sauté for a few seconds.

Add turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cook for 3 minutes.

Add carrots and peas, mix to coat with spices. Cover and cook on low flame for 10–12 minutes, or until the veggies are cooked evenly. Sprinkle a little water if needed.

Once vegetables are cooked, sprinkle garam masala and mix gently. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with roti and jaggery on the side.
