How to make Chilli Paneer for evening snacking at home

Easy Chilli Paneer Recipe

Chilli Paneer makes for a delectable treat for evening snacking. Made with cornflour coated crispy paneer cubes, sauteed in spicy sauce, thsi Indo-Chinese treat is perfect for munching and goes well with noodles or fried rice as a meal too. Scroll down to read the detailed recipe.

Ingredients


250 g paneer, 3 tbsp cornflour, 2 tbsp all-purpose flour, ½ tsp black pepper, salt to taste, water, oil for frying, 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp garlic, 1 tbsp ginger, 2 green chillies, 1 onion, 1 capsicum, 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1½ tbsp red chilli sauce, 1 tbsp tomato ketchup, 1 tsp vinegar, 1 tsp sugar, salt to taste, 1 tsp cornflour mixed with ¼ cup water, and spring onion greens for garnish

First of all, mix cornflour, maida, salt and pepper to make thick batter.

Now, chop paneer cubes and add them to the batter and deep-fry until golden and crisp.

Next, chop all the veggies and set them aside.

Heat oil in a wok or pan and add garlic, ginger and green chillies. Sauté on high flame for a few seconds.

Add all the chopped veggies and stir-fry on high heat for 1–2 minutes.

Add all the sauces and sugar. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

Next, add the cornflour slurry and cook until the sauce turns glossy and then add the fried paneer cubes.

Garnish with some spring onion greens and serve hot with noodles or fried rice.
