A cup of coffee can set your mood, but did you know that there exists a coffee that can even predict your future? Yes, you read it right! It’s the soulful Turkish coffee, which is considered to have the ability to predict the future. It is a common practice in the country to use the thick ground left on the bottom of one’s cup to peer into the future. ​How Turkish coffee is made

As per experts, Turkish coffee is traditionally brewed in a pot called a cezve. The fine coffee grinds and water are added to the wide-bottomed pot, and then they are mixed and placed in the hot sand. The pot is rubbed in the sand, which creates an even heat, and the coffee foams to the top in a fraction of a second. The cezve is removed and added to the sand three to four times, and then it is served in a small cup. The thick grounds left on the bottom of one’s cup are used to predict the future. ​What do experts feel

What makes Turkish coffee different from any other variety of coffee is its processing and how it is served. According to Bharat Singhal, Founder, Bili Hu Indian estate coffees, Turkish coffee is the only variation that is not filtered and is served with the coffee ground. "Traditional Turkish coffee is made with a superfine powder of robusta coffee beans, which is added to boiling water and cooked on a gas stove or on hot sand," he explains."They also add spices like cardamom to it." "What makes it special is that it is directly served into the cup without any filtration, unlike other variations, where filtration is an integral part of the process," adds Bharat, who also mentions that it is mostly served in a smaller quantity without milk and sugar.
