What happens when you eat walnuts daily

Nuts are one of the superfoods that help boost metabolism, immunity, and overall health, too. Whether you enjoy them soaked, raw, or roasted, they are said to help in managing blood pressure, boost heart health, and even protect the body against seasonal illnesses. Dr. Saurabh Sethi, a gastroenterologist trained at AIIMS, Harvard, and Stanford universities, recently shared a reel on Instagram, where he mentioned the role of walnuts in daily diet. Rich in antioxidants

According to Saurabh, they are packed with antioxidants more than any other nuts. They are loaded with vitamin E,melatonin, and polyphenols, especially in that thin, papery skin. These fight free radicals and calm inflammation.

Rich in omega-3 fatty acids

Walnuts are also loaded with omega-3 fats that the human body cannot make. They help lower blood pressure, support heart health and even boost the good gut bacteria.

He also informs that they are brain food. According to Saurabh, research states that regular walnut eaters have better memory and less inflammation.

What does study say?

Walnuts are considered to be a powerhouse of nutrition. They are one of the best plant-based sources of omega-3 fatty acids, particularly alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which plays a vital role in heart and brain health. It is said that regular consumption of walnuts helps reduce inflammation, supports healthy cholesterol levels, and may lower the risk of cardiovascular disease. According to a study, they are also rich in magnesium and manganese, which help control blood pressure.

5 ways to consume walnuts

Morning Snack: One can eat a handful of soaked or dry roasted walnuts on an empty stomach to boost brain function and heart health.
Smoothies: Another way of adding a lot of walnuts to your daily diet is to blend them into your morning smoothie for a creamy texture and a dose of healthy omega-3 fats.
Salads: You can also sprinkle chopped walnuts over salads for a crunchy, nutty flavor and added nutrition.
Breakfast Bowls: Another way is to add crushed walnuts to oatmeal, yogurt, or chia pudding for extra protein and fiber.
Baking & Cooking: You can also use walnuts in muffins, breads, or stir-fries to enrich both taste and nutritional value.
