Foods to avoid for better sleep

Food or beverages containing caffeine should never be consumed at bedtime. That's why you should avoid drinking tea and coffee while sleeping at night. Not only this, caffeine is also found in ice cream and desserts. Also avoid eating caffeinated chocolate. If you don't take caffeine at night, you can get a much better sleep.

Eating acidic food at night can also affect sleep. That's why you should never consume acidic foods while sleeping at night. You should avoid consuming food items like sour fruit juice, raw onion, tomato sauce while sleeping at night. Not only this, eating pizza at night can also be harmful.

It is always advisable to eat light at night. You should never eat heavy foods at night. Heavy foods can upset your digestive system. Also, the stomach may feel full. It takes longer to digest. This can affect your sleep. Also, there may be problems of abdominal pain and cramps. That's why don't eat fried things like burger etc at night.

Taking liquid diet at night should also be completely avoided. Actually, if you consume liquid things while sleeping at night, then you may have to go for frequent urination. That's why never eat foods like watermelon, melon and cucumber at night. You should also avoid drinking water at night.

Consuming alcohol at bedtime can also affect sleep. That's why you should never consume alcohol at night. Alcohol can affect your digestion. This may also make you have to go for frequent urination. Alcohol disrupts the sleep cycle. Snoring can occur after drinking alcohol and there can be a problem of acid reflux.
