If you too are fond of salads but avoid making them because of the complexity of ingredients, here is a solution for you. The below-given salads are prepared with the most basic ingredients which can be found in every desi household. These salads are diet-friendly and you can easily incorporate them into your daily routine if you wish to lose weight. These salads come with a plus point as they are nutritious as well as delicious. ​Rajma Salad

If you are a rajma lover, then this healthy recipe will woo your taste buds. You just need some boiled rajma and a handful of veggies to make this delicious salad. You can even have this wholesome meal for lunch or dinner as it is quite fulfilling.

Ingredients required- 1/2 cup boiled rajma, 1/2 cup boiled chickpeas, 1 onion, ½ cup cabbage, 1 tsp lemon juice, ¼ tsp chaat masala, 2 tbsp chopped coriander and black salt as per taste.

Method

  • Firstly boil the rajma, drain the water and collect it in a bowl.
  • To the boiled rajma, add chopped onion and cabbage.
  • Lastly add coriander leaves, salt, chaat masala and lemon juice.
  • Toss the salad well to combine all the ingredients.

​Fruit and Nut Salad

The goodness of nuts combined with some fruity flavours is all you need to satiate your cravings for something unique. You can customize this salad recipe as per your taste by adding fruits and nuts of your choice. Enjoy this salad in the morning or in the evening and give your body a good dose of nutrition.

Ingredients required- 1 banana, 1 apple, 6 strawberries, 1 kiwi, 1 tbsp honey, 10 almonds, 10 walnuts, 10 raisins and 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds.

Method

  • Chop all the fruits into bite-sized pieces and add them to a bowl.
  • Now add almonds, walnuts, raisins and pumpkin seeds to the bowl.
  • Give everything a nice toss to mix well.

​Sprouts Salad

If you are aiming to lose weight, then this sprouts salad will become your best friend. All you need to do is soak moong dal until it sprouts well and then use it to make a salad. Sprouts are quite high on protein and very low on calories, which makes them an ideal weight loss meal.

Ingredients required- 1 cup sprouted moong dal, ½ onion, 1 cucumber, 1 tomato, 1 tbsp lemon juice, ½ tsp black pepper powder, ¼ tsp chaat masala and black salt as per taste.

Method

  • Take sprouted moong dal and add it to a pressure cooker. Add ¼ cup water and give one whistle.
  • Release the pressure and drain all the water. Wash the cooked sprouts under cold running water.
  • Collect the sprouts in a bowl. Add chopped onion, cucumber, tomato, lemon juice, black pepper powder, chaat masala and salt.
