Also known as the Pink City, Jaipur is known for its vibrancy, culture, architecture, and culinary landscape. The city of Jaipur was founded by the King of Amber, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II on 18 November 1727. He ruled from 1699 to 1743. The Rajasthani culinary fare makes the city a complete foodie paradise. Here are a few must-have dishes to try in the city of Jaipur.

Rajasthani Kadhi


It's a main course dish made with gram four, sour curd/buttermilk, and a mixture of spices. It consists of crispy pakodas soaked in thick curry and tastes best with steamed rice.

Dal Bati Churma


Made with wheat flour, salt, ghee, spices, moong dal, green gram dal, masoor dal, chana dal rava, sugar, and green cardamom, this wholesome preparation is easily available throughout the city and is often loved by people of all age groups.

It’s the most delectable deep-fried breakfast treat made with fluffy pastry filled with onions and potatoes mixture and served with khatti meethi chutney or even potato curry.
