Easy ice creams that you can make at home

We are never too old for delicious ice-creams and what is better than the ones we make at home? Chocolate, vanilla, mango, fruit and nut, etc., are just a few of the many ice-creams we all love to eat. Homemade ice-creams are tasty as well as healthy compared to the store-bought ice-cream. It is one of the many desserts which is enjoyed in all seasons and moods because it is the best comfort food. Ice-creams are refreshing for the hot and scorching summer season so why not make them at home? If you think it is difficult then let us make it easy for you. It might seem a lot of work but ice-cream is pretty simple to make. Check out these delicious recipes and try to make them at home:

Strawberry Milk Pops

This fruity and creamy ice-lolly is perfect for relaxing on a summer day. Ice-lollies are one of the easiest ice-creams one can make. Take 200g strawberries and blend them in a food processor until smooth. Add 100ml semi-skimmed milk and 200g condensed milk. Mix well. Pour into 6 ice-lolly molds and attach the tops. Freeze them for at least 4 hours or overnight. Warm the molds under running water to release the pops.

Mango Sorbet

The season of Mango is here and soon you'll be buying juicy and ripe mangoes. You can use those mangoes to make yummy mango sorbet. Sorbet can be made with any fruits, it is pretty simple to make. Take 4 mangoes, peel and chop them. Spread them on a plate and freeze them for an hour. Then, transfer the mango in a food processor, drizzle 4 tbsp honey and blend properly. Transfer into an ice-cream tray or baking pan. Freeze it for 4 hours at least. Mango sorbet is ready, just scoop it out and serve.

Homemade Oreo Ice-cream

Oreo is a yummy biscuit and if added to an ice-cream, it will be a delightful treat. Put 14 oreo cookies in a zip lock bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Then, in a bowl, pour 2 cups of chilled heavy cream and whip it with an electric whisk until it becomes light. Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk to the mixture. Again, whisk it until combined well. Add the crushed oreo to the bowl and mix it gently with a spatula. Transfer the mixture into a container and freeze for at least 6 hours.

Choco-chip Chocolate Ice-cream

Craving for chocolates, what's better than delicious choco-chip chocolate ice-cream? For this, take 2 cups of chilled heavy cream in a bowl and whisk well. Pour 1 can of condensed milk to it along with 1/2 cup cocoa powder and whisk again until combined. Add 1/2 cup choco chips and gently fold them in with a spatula. Transfer the mixture in a container and cover it with a cling foil. Freeze for at least 6 hours and enjoy creamy chocolate ice-cream.

Malai Kulfi

Malai kulfi is a popular Indian ice-cream and it is very easy to make it at home. Take 1 ltr full-cream milk and boil it over high heat. When the milk starts to boil, cook it on simmer and stir occasionally until it becomes 1/3 of the original quantity of milk. After this, add 4 to 5 tbsps sugar along with 2 tbsps chopped almonds and chopped cashews each. Then add 4-5 ground green cardamom. Stir gently and let it cook on simmer until it is 1/4 of the original quantity of milk. Remove from flame and let it cool down at room temperature. Next, fill the mixture in kulfi ice-cream mold or any airtight container you have. Freeze for at least 6 hours.

Classic Vanilla Ice-cream

Classic vanilla is a versatile ingredient that adds taste to many other recipes such as cold coffee or cakes, etc. To make this quick recipe, take 2 cups of chilled heavy cream and whisk it until it is light and fluffy, then add 1 can of condensed milk along with 1 1/2 vanilla essence and whisk it again until the mixture is combined well. Now, your ice cream is ready to be put in the freezer. Freeze for at least 6 hours before you serve.

Pista Kulfi

Similar to other kulfi recipes, Pista kulfi tastes delectable. First, take 1 ltr full cream milk and boil it, then reduce the heat and cook the milk on simmer until it is 1/3 of the original quantity of milk. At this point add 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tsp saffron. Boil for another minute or two. Then, add 4-5 ground green cardamom powder, mix well and remove from heat. Let it cool down at room temperature and add 2 tbsp chopped or shredded pistachios. Fill the kulfi molds with the mixture and freeze for at least 6 hours or overnight. Keep the mold under running water for a few seconds and then pull out the kulfi easily and serve.

Chocolate Cherry Ice-cream

The best part about making ice-cream at home is that you can experiment with your favourite ingredients. To make this ice-cream, take 2 cups of chilled heavy creams and whisk it until it becomes light and fluffy, add 1 can condensed milk and follow the same process as done in earlier recipes. Add 1 tsp vanilla essence, 3/4 cup of preserved or canned cherries along with a chopped chocolate bar. Fold in all the ingredients and freeze the ice-cream in an airtight container for 6 hours or overnight. Scoop it out and serve.

Rose Kulfi

This recipe provides a freshness along with its sweet aroma that relaxes you. As done in previous kulfi recipes, boil the milk and when it is 1/3 of the original quantity, add 4 to 5 tbsp of sugar, 1 tbsp chopped almonds, 1 tbsp cashew, 1 tbsp pistachios, and 4 to 5 ground cardamom. In a small bowl, mix 1 tsp rose essence with 2 drops of pink food colour. Remove the milk from heat when it is 1/4 of the original quantity. Let it cool down at room temperature and add the rose essence and food colour mixture that we prepared earlier. pour the mixture into kulfi molds or any airtight container and freeze for 6 hours or overnight.

Coconut and Choco-Chip Ice-cream

Give an interesting twist to the classic vanilla ice-cream by adding two ingredients that you will love. Prepare the vanilla ice cream mixture as given in the Classic Vanilla Ice-cream recipe above. Before you freeze it, fold in 2 tbsp of desiccated grated coconut and 1/4 cup of choco chips. Then, transfer the mixture into an airtight container and freeze overnight.
