Manolos are so last season!

The most iconic fashion sequel of the century is ready to make a smashing comeback. As the filming for ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ is well underway in New York City, pictures of Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt are flooding social media. The fashion-heavy movie is expected to deliver some inspiring style moments, just like the 2006 film did, and fans are already getting a glimpse at what’s in store for the characters.
From plaid textures to neutral tones, the footwear collection worn by the characters during the filming has been the standout moment. With Prada, Chanel, Saint Laurent, and more, the ‘Runway’ magazine will be thriving high with some of the latest shoe releases that require your attention. Long gone are the days of Manolos; this is what should be in your cart.

Anne Hathaway’s cherry leather boots

Anne Hathaway was spotted in a navy blue pinstripe dress with a burgundy Gabriela Hearst Coleridge vest. To complete her entire look, she added a hint of pop colour and wore a pair of Paris Texas’ Stiletto Boot 85 in the shade cherry mocha. The pointy knee-high boots pair is made from a rouge noir soft embossed leather and retails for $1,050, i.e., Rs 91,959.

Meryl Streep’s red stilettos

Meryl Streep is maintaining her legacy as Miranda Priestly and has stepped right into her character, thanks to a pair of Jacquemus’ bright red high Cubisto slingbacks. The slingback pumps are a popular design owned by the brand and feature an overly extended toe with a subtle bow on the upper end. Completing the look with a pair of straight-fit jeans, a white tucked-in shirt, and an oversized long neutral coat.

Gucci for the win

For another one of Miranda Priestly’s looks, she was spotted wearing a vintage pair of Gucci Charlotte platform pumps, which look simply iconic. The pair is made from a soft nappa leather in an orange-cognac-brown shade and features a clean round toe concealed with a powerful platform and under-the-ball heel, which measures around four inches. Completing the fit with a lavender blouse, knee-length tan leather skirt, and a light-hued, oversized coat, she’s making things happen around.

Bringing back the snake print

This is one of Anne Hathaway’s casual looks, which is far from anything casual, as the diva is wearing pointy-toe Zadig & Voltaire. She sported their Wild Ankle Boots featuring the iconic snake print with bold block heels and a multi-coloured pattern with hints of orange, brown, black, and white hues.
