Vaibhavi Merchant’s birthday bash style recap

Bollywood celebrities gathered for a glam night out as choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant hosted a birthday gala at her Mumbai home. Big names like Rani Mukerji and Karan Johar arrived in style to mark the special occasion, adding star power and sparkle to the evening. Vaibhavi Merchant recently received her second National Film Award for Best Choreography for the song Dhindora Baje Re. She received her first National Award in the same category for Dholi Taro Dhol Baaje in 1999.

Vaibhavi Merchant

Starting with the birthday girl, she looked every bit the star of the evening in a stunning blush-pink mini dress. The flowy fit-and-flare look featured a dreamy soft bodice and exuded a modern-princess feel that looked almost surreal. She completed the look with delicate diamond jewellery, including a sleek necklace, a pair of matching earrings, and a statement bracelet. Adding just the right amount of sparkle, she complemented the outfit with black high-heel pumps decorated with beautiful bows.

Rani Mukerji

Rani Mukerji, who is best friends with Vaibhavi Merchant, was one of the first actors to grace the red carpet. She wore the Violetta Midi Dress by ERDEM from their Pre-Fall 2024 collection. The outfit featured an A-line, calf-length hemline with bold red floral patterns set against a midnight-hued base. The chic and dignified dress had a scooped neckline, cinched waistline, and fitted bodice, but the cost of this sophisticated ensemble may come as a surprise. It carried a hefty price tag of around Rs 1.38 lakh.

Karan Johar

Karan Johar is known for his bling and quirky styling, but he opted for a subtle look for this red carpet appearance, making him one of the best-dressed of the evening. The director chose a robe-style velvet blazer paired with matching trousers, which looked clean and exuded an aura of finesse. He accentuated the look with a bold pendant, statement shoes, and his trademark glasses, which completed the ensemble.

Arjun Kapoor

Arjun Kapoor leaned towards a minimal route and kept a monochrome contemporary touch with a hint of relaxed sophistication.
