Alia Bhatt’s black era is here!

Alia Bhatt has to be one of Bollywood’s precious gems. Amidst a pool of nepo babies, she’s the one to shine the highest, where the actress can act, dance, and, of course, has become an epitome of fashion. The global brand ambassador of Gucci, from India, made a compelling case for black ensembles this year, making us realise how iconic she looks in this polished shade. Each appearance highlighted her evolving grace, which also carried a refined and confident touch. Here are 5 statement black looks from her 2025 wardrobe that had a hint of timeless glam and should already be in your fashion lookbooks of 2026.

Classic black in archival Pierre Balmain

Alia Bhatt walked the red carpet at the Red Sea Film Festival in a stunning couture gown from Pierre Balmain's Florilège line, which is a collection dating back to 1952. Yes, you read that right! Her stunning classic black gown with a cinched waistline featured a gentle scoop neckline with a close-fitted bodice that flowed down into a voluminous midi-length skirt. On the accessory note, she kept things subtle and wore a beautiful diamond choker with minimal stud earrings and chic sunglasses and remained within the high-end vocabulary of Balmain.

Elegant black Armani Privé gown

For the 78th Cannes Film Festival, Alia made a striking entry in a sculpted black Armani Privé gown, which looked absolutely alluring. Her bodycon full-length strapless gown came with neatly arranged stones spread throughout the main bodice, which added a regal texture and carried an eye-catching brilliance note. But the highlight of her outfit was the intricately placed silver and blue stones, almond-shaped gemstones that were neatly placed along the hemline and screamed old-money glam.

Sabyasachi’s Murshidabad silk drape

Alia marked her presence at Sabyasachi’s 25th anniversary in Mumbai, where the diva decked up in a plain black Murshidabad silk saree picked from the collection of Sabyasachi. But what made the piece a standout was the plunging neckline of a daring bejewelled blouse, which was decorated with intricate and heavy stones in different shades, with a backdrop of alluring gold. This mesmerising look stole the show in minutes and even outshone the showstopper of the evening.

The Milanesa black coat from Gucci’s Famiglia collection

As the global brand ambassador of Gucci from India, Alia had the opportunity to attend Demna’s debut at ‘The Tiger’ film screening, where Alia captured the attention in an outfit that was layered in Gucci house drama and echoed its history. She wore a full-length Milanesa coat from the Famiglia collection, which was covered in shaggy fur and swallowed her sleek frame. She tipped it with a GG chain belt and flashed a gold lace slip dress beneath it with GG logo stockings, black pumps, and a Bamboo 1947 bag.

All-black summer look, ft. Gucci bag

For a dinner date with her friends in Mumbai, Alia Bhatt was spotted keeping things subtle yet iconic with her styling prowess, which is anything but basic. She wore a black off-shoulder top drenched in comfortable linen, which featured stylish side slits, and paired it with a matching pair of high-waisted pants, which came with an elasticated waistband, handy pockets, and a straight-leg fit. But what stole the show was her stunning Gucci Medium Horsebit Chain bag, which came with a hefty price tag of Rs 3.20 lakh.
