Tamannaah Bhatia serves Andy Sachs energy at ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ India screening in a dramatic David Koma ensemble

A calculated slay for the eve

At ‘The Devil Wears Prada’ India screening, Tamannaah Bhatia practically served fashion theatrics, seeking inspiration from a very specific character from the film, which looked far from subtle. Channeling the grace and poise of Anne Hathaway’s character Andy Sachs in the film, she walked in a stunning David Koma look that felt less coincidental and more calculated. Let’s decode this polished yet restrained look.

A fashion callback no one asked for

Tamannaah Bhatia wore a dramatic, sculpted, off-shoulder corset from David Koma, which came with full-length gloves that beautifully fitted around her curves. She paired this piece with a textured midi skirt featuring an embossed pattern and a dramatic front slit. She completed the look with a pair of thigh-high boots and wore sleek, black, full-length pantyhose, which set just the right tone for the styling season.

Minimal chic done right

Rather than indulging in heavy jewellery, she leaned towards a sophisticated, chic edge, wearing simple rings and earrings from Tamannaah Find Jewellery that added just the right amount of sparkle. Tamannaah started with the Bold Flick earrings featuring 719 round diamonds in 18K yellow gold and added a sphere diamond band featuring a line of 34 diamonds set in warm 18K yellow gold, which suited perfectly with her clean-girl aesthetic aura.

Time glows with subtle restraint

Her hair and makeup also followed the same philosophy, where she started with an illuminating base, blushed cheeks, and classic winged eyeliner and added cinematic drama with her tight, sleek high bun look. This edgy glam makeup is perfect for the summer season and adds just the right chic drama you wish for.

Is it giving try-hard energy?

From the sharp tailoring to polished restraint, everything echoed iconic style. Tamannaah hit the right chords of the ‘before she knew she was that girl’ era, with a modish twist that sat perfectly with the fashion police. So, is this a clever fashion homage or Bollywood trying hard on nostalgia? Who knows, but Tamannaah surely nailed every detail and managed to rewrite her own style narrative.
