Priyanka’s fiery saree looks are pure ‘Mandakini’ magic!

After making her Bollywood fans wait for almost six years, India’s ‘Desi Queen’, Priyanka Chopra, is all set to return to Indian films with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming release, ‘Globetrotter’. As the team recently introduced the audience to Priyanka’s character ‘Mandakini’ in the film, they unveiled a fiery first look of PeeCee, decked up in a saree, that instantly broke the internet. In the poster, she is seen wearing a yellow chiffon saree and holding a gun as she locks in on her target. Priyanka Chopra’s Amit Aggarwal saree for the NMACC inauguration

Priyanka attended the inauguration of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre. In a statement, Amit Aggarwal said the saree was not just another piece of garment but a custom-made drape with a neo-traditional statement. It was created from a vintage 60-year-old Banarasi brocade silhouette and featured silver threads with golden electroplating on khadi silk. This daring silhouette came with a thigh-high bold side slit and a matching holographic bustier blouse, which indeed redefined the styling of a traditional saree drape.

This fuss-free, slinky saree was picked from Jade by Monica & Karishma and bore rows of sequins that ran along the bodice, with intricate embroidered lace skirting around the edges. She matched its prowess with a one-shoulder, bralette-style matching blouse and instantly made jaws drop online.

If you were completely mesmerised by her pre-Oscar saree looks, then wait till you see what she wore at the UNICEF fundraiser in 2017. No, it wasn’t something that pushed the envelope when it came to fashion, but it was something that made India proud. The diva wore a stunning plain black sheer-finish saree with golden sparkling lace at the border. But what uplifted the whole look was her hand-printed majestic Bengal tiger blouse, picked from Sabyasachi’s collection, which stole the show in seconds.
