Athletes taking over the carpet

Renowned athletes from their various interests in sports marked their presence at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s ‘Shubh Aashirwad’ ceremony on July 13th. From legends including Mahendra Singh Dhoni to Sachin Tendulkar, several other prominent athletes such as Mary Kom, Sania Mirza, and others were spotted at the venue, donning stunning outfits that created a stylish vision. MS Dhoni with family

Mahendra Singh Dhoni was spotted attending all the pre-wedding festivities at the Ambanis and arrived in style for the Shubh Ashirwad ceremony with his family. Mahi wore a mild pink tone kurta with floral detailing made from silver threadwork and casually paired it with white pants. His wife, on the other hand looked royal as she wore a white short kurta with sharara grace, and added a mesh printed dupatta with it, which exuded a subtle and graceful aura on the carpet.

Sania Mirza

Former tennis player Sania Mirza looked stunning as she donned a red traditional lehenga skirt and paired it with a same-shade jacket top with buttoned detailing. The stunner wore a beautiful silver and green choker-style necklace and made her hair into a sleek bun which looked perfect with her toned-down dewy makeup creating a perfect balance.

Sachin Tendulkar and wife

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar made it to the celebrity carpet in a printed black sherwani which created a subtle wedding illusion. He smiled at the paps with his wife Anjali Tendulkar who was seen in a fuchsia pink heavy embroidered sari with a stunning golden necklace and matching earrings.

Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant was spotted in a powder blue kurta paired with white pants. However, he wore a printed grey jacket over his kurta making it a stylish moment for him which looked perfect with his vintage sunglasses.

Indian Olympic boxer Mary Kom also showed up at the event to bless the happy couple with her husband. She looked subtle in an all-black outfit and donned a black shimmer short kurta with flared sharara and plain dupatta. To make a contrasting appeal, she added a white potli bag and a stunning layered red beaded necklace which looked perfect with her overall fit.

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan

Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah marked his presence and was accompanied by his wife-journalist Sanjana Ganesan. The power couple looked dashing and complemented each other with Bumrah in an all-black avatar as he wore a short jacket-style sherwani paired with black pants, whereas Sanjana wore a heavy embellished powder blue sari with a same-shade halter neck blouse and stunning jewels.

Indian cricketer KL Rahul was seen in an all-royal blue grace as he wore a heavily embroidered floral embellished royal blue kurta with matching pants and donned a same-shade kurta jacket over it.
