Not every style statement requires glitter

As temperatures continue to soar, finding an ensemble that strikes the perfect balance between comfort and poise can feel like a real challenge. But Kangana Ranaut seems to have cracked the code, with a breezy peach-pink kurta set that looked summer-friendly and sophisticated too, proving that understated fashion often makes the strongest style statement. With a relaxed silhouette and effortlessly charming look, her ensemble stood as a refreshing reminder that you don’t need bold trends and flashy sequins to always turn heads.

Looking like a breath of fresh air

Kangana swapped the vibrant gold and yellow tones of Maharashtra’s heritage silk and emerged fresh in a romantic, pastel-hued sharara. She wore a soft, dusty peach-pink shade with a delicate block-print pattern showcasing intertwined floral vines in muted shades of soft rose and olive green. Her kurta featured a classic round neckline with structured three-quarter sleeves and refined, corporate-ready traditional side cuts.

A refreshing summer fashion moment

Her ensemble was paired with matching heavy, flared sharara pants that mimicked the volume of a skirt and looked absolutely comforting. To frame the block-printed base, she added a lightweight, matching translucent organza dupatta over her shoulders, featuring metallic silver gota-patti piping along the borders with scattered floral-embroidered bootis.

And then came her refined styling

Kangana understood the assignment and kept her styling minimal with a structured statement choker featuring flat-cut kundan detailing with tiny, drop-pearl detailing along the upper rim and a bright cascade of emerald beads along the bottom fringe. She paired the look with matching square kundan drop earrings, a classic gold metallic-strap watch, and a giant diamond ring. Sealing the styling charm with a pair of handcrafted juttis with intricate silver and gold zari threadwork, she looked like a full traditional round-up.

Nailing the subtle notes of makeup

To match the breezy aesthetic of her ensemble, she leaned towards a ‘clean girl’ makeup aesthetic and simply kept her hair down in soft statement waves with a side parting. She accentuated her makeup with a vibrant base, contoured cheeks, soft blush highlights, defined mascara-laden eyes, and nude matte lipstick. But what carried the whole look together was her statement dark green bindi, which screamed of traditional drama.
