Embracing her South Indian roots

Janhvi Kapoor’s fashion choices are never without a narrative, each look often rooted in tradition and cultural pride. Honouring her South Indian heritage, the actor frequently gravitates towards timeless Kasavu and rich Kanjeevaram weaves. Her style strikes the perfect balance between elegance and versatility, making every appearance feel like a graceful nod to her roots. Whether it’s a classic silk sari or a modern drape with traditional elements, Janhvi channels South Indian splendour with every ensemble. With her dreamy, floor-sweeping silhouettes and goddess-like poise, she turns every outing into a fashion portrait. Let’s take a closer look at some of her most captivating.

Traditional pattu pavadai gives us lessons in colour-blocking

On one of her festive getaways, the diva leaned on a traditional South Indian half-sari, also known as a pattu pavadai. The traditional two-piece outfit typically consisted of a blue flared lehenga skirt with a purple drape and a metallic-purple dual-toned blouse. Serving as a masterclass in colour blocking, her Kanjeevaram skirt and blouse set also had a matching dupatta, which brought the entire aesthetic together.

Exuding a feminine aura in lilac hues

Wearing a traditional flowy pattu pavadai, Janhvi adorned a lavender-hued traditional half saree featuring a lilac-golden blended skirt and light-shaded blouse and completed it with a lilac-shaded dupatta. For accessories, she wore a layered traditional neckpiece with matching earrings and added a touch of soft makeup with a half-hairdo that exuded sheer minimalism in the most iconic manner.

Embracing the neutral notes of South Indian style

Wishing her Malayali and Tamil fans Vishu and Puthandu, the diva channelled her South Indian aura and exuded regal goddess vibes. Capturing herself in a mirror selfie, the diva wore a cream-off-white shade neatly pleated saree and teamed it with a matching short-sleeve and U-neckline blouse. However, she quickly uplifted the neutral palette with statement gold jewellery that included a traditional necklace, matching jhumkas, a long-chained haar, a sleek maang tikka, a stack of golden and red bangles, and a statement kamarbandh.

Showing heritage elegance in blush pink hues

For Anant and Radhika Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations, Janhvi Kapoor exuded finesse in a stunning half-saree picked from the shelves of Manish Malhotra. She indeed captured the attention of the crowd with her outfit dipped in hues of blush pink and cream accents, featuring elaborate floral patterns. Teamed with a matching sweetheart neckline gown, she further added an eye-catching kamarbandh and accentuated her beautiful curves in the most sophisticated and elegant manner.

Shining like a sunflower in this exquisite half-saree

Visiting the steps of Tirupati, she shone like a bright sunflower in this traditional draped yellow and green saree. She teamed the elegant shoulder-sleeve green blouse with a vibrant yellow saree and created a beautiful contrast. However, what stood out the most was her choice of temple jewellery, which consisted of a necklace, earrings, and a statement kamarbandh, nailing the styling game once again.
