This plus-size model went bald for a bridal shoot and the reason is so inspiring

Women inspire women and some, leave us speechless. Akhshaya Navaneethan just did something that will leave you at a loss of words. The pretty lady is not only a popular Instagram blogger but also a plus-size model and a few days ago, the dusky beauty decided to do what no one would dare to - go bald! And, that's not all, she also shot for a photoshoot that has gone viral now for a very special reason.

The reason behind going bald

Akhshaya took the big step when she decided to donate her hair to help make wigs for patients suffering from cancer.

The bridal photoshoot

The stunner wanted to send out a message on body positivity and that's what led to the beautiful photoshoot. She posted the stunning pictures on her Instagram along with an inspiring caption, which read, "Like any other overweight person from the 90's, my story is no different. Tips and advices to reduce weight would always be the topic in the hall. Body shaming wasn't a thing i was excused from. From my school teacher stopping me from being a part of a dance performance to being rejected at many deserving platforms, all that people could see is my weight which also did affect me, making me think that I wasn't good enough and may be reducing my weight would make a difference.
However, something happened in 2013. Something so big that it changed the journey of my life. I started believing in myself, identifying my talents, and most importantly, I stopped listening to people. That's when I found myself. From that time on, I gradually groomed myself. I started working as an MC, soft-skill trainer, motivational speaker.
Gradually and steadily moving on to be a plus size model. The confidence that I showed in myself never stopped. That has been my key to grow. Now, I spread awareness on body positivity and self love. I even shaved my hair and donated it to the cancer patients.
Today, I am the first Plussize model to represent South Indian in Lakmé India Fashion Week. One thing I'm very happy about is that people have started recognizing plus size. I still believe remaining healthy is important but causing yourself/oneself pain and suffering to lose weight is not(sic)."
