Bollywood veteran actor Rishi Kapoor announced on December 29, 2016 that he is all set to release his autobiography in January 2017. The book titled 'Khullam Khulla' is penned by Rishi Kapoor along with ​ senior entertainment editor Meena Iyer and is expected to hit the stands on January 15, 2017. "My autobiography - Rishi Kapoor-uncensored! "Khullam Khulla" releases 15th January. This one's from the heart, my life and times, as I lived it!," Rishi Kapoor posted on his official social media account along with the cover of the book. It's noted that the autobiography's is borrowed from the 64-year-old actor's famous song "Khullam Khulla Pyar Karenge Hum Dono".

Roadside hawker sells Twinkle Khanna her own book

A few months back, we had reported about actress-entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty being sold her own book by a roadside hawker. And now, looks like a similar incident happened with Mrs Funnybones aka Twinkle Khanna in Mumbai. The actress turned author took to social media to share this picture of a hawker who was selling her best-sellers. Twinkle wrote, "The silver lining to this inky cloud-pirated or otherwise, clearly I am still not past my sell-by date :) #thelegendoflakshmiprasad #mrsfunnybones".

Twinkle Khanna announces her new book

Actress- turned entrepreneur- turned writer Twinkle Khanna took to Twitter where she announced her second book 'The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad'. Sharing a picture of it, she tweeted, "My new book of stories that will hopefully make you laugh a lot and sigh a little. #TheLegendOfLakshmiPrasad". Her debut book 'Mrs Funnybones' was released in 2015 and was one of the bestsellers.

This hawker tried selling Shilpa Shetty her own book

Actor-entrepreneur Shilpa Shetty Kundra turned into a writer with her book ‘The Great Indian Diet’. In a funny incident which happened on October 6, 2016 a road-side hawker tried selling Shetty her own book! The actress took to Instagram where she shared this picture of the hawker with the caption, "So this guy was trying to sell my book to Me! At the traffic signal. His reaction was priceless when he saw me. ha ha ha #thegreatindiandiet #authorwoes #complimentary". What's more, the post went viral and garnered some 30k likes in just one day! Now that his daughter Suhana plans to follow his footsteps in making a career in acting, SRK is writing a book only for Suhana to give her his acting tips. The book is titled ‘To Suhana, On Acting, From Papa’ and consists of small paragraphs of his style of acting.

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah turned writer at the age of 64. Naseer’s book ‘A Memoir: And then One Day’ was released in 2014 in which he honestly shares his life journey. In a media interaction in 2014, the veteran actor denied writing the sequel of his memoir. Instead, he said that he would like to write a handbook for training young actors.

Anu Aggarwal

Aashiqui- fame actress Anu Aggarwal shared her life story of her self-discovery, a near death experience and recovery in her autobiography named ‘Anusual: Memoir of a Girl Who Came Back from the Dead’ which was released in August 2015. In her bare-all autobiography, Aggarwal talks about her journey from Delhi to Mumbai in the 90s to star in her first Bollywood movie, followed by living as a yogi in the ashrams in Uttarakhand. Coming back to Mumbai she survived a major car accident after which she first thought of taking sanyas only to be back to teach yoga. She also talks about the men in her life-- from millionaires to yogis. The actor also shared on Twitter that he is working on his second book ‘Lessons life has taught me’ which will encapsulate lessons he has learnt from his parents, and profession. It's a book for youngsters so while the content will be meaningful and serious, the writing will be light.
