Sonali Bendre reveals the books which inspired her during cancer treatment

Celebrity and author Sonali Bendre is also an avid reader. The Bollywood actress, who penned a book 'The Modern Gurukul: My Experiments with Parenting' in 2015, hosts a book club on social media where she shares her book recommendations with fellow readers. In 2018, the actress had revealed that she was diagnosed with cancer for which she underwent a treatment in New York City. Since then, the actress has battled cancer and has emerged stronger as a person. Infact 'Sonali's Book Club', which was started in 2017, turned three this year.

Now with Coronavirus bringing the world to a standstill and forcing people into self-isolation the actress took to social media to inspire her fans, yet again. Sonali Bendre shared a list of some books which might help readers to stay positive, especially in such difficult times. "Sharing some light reads that might help in these difficult times. These books became my source of inspiration in the journey of self isolation during my treatment in New York. They truly have helped me #SwitchOnTheSunshine over the last two years!," she wrote. So, here are some inspiring books Sonali Bendre recommends everyone to read:
