Mukesh Ambani shares a list of books that helped him the most in 2021

Mukesh Ambani is the largest shareholder of Reliance Industries and the richest person in Asia with a net worth of US$90 billion and the 11th richest person in the world, as of December 2021. However, despite the riches and the luxuries, the last two pandemic struck years have been difficult for everyone equally. In such difficult times, books offered the much-needed respite to us. Recently, Ambani shared a list of five books that helped him the most in 2021. Here's a look at them.

'Ten Lessons for a Post-Pandemic World' by Fareed Zakaria

In this book, Zakaria foresees the nature of a post-pandemic world: the political, social, technological, and economic consequences that may take years to unfold. In ten lessons, he writes about the acceleration of natural and biological risks, the obsoleteness of the old political categories of right and left, the rise of digital life, the future of globalization, and an emerging world order split between the United States and China.

'Principles for Dealing With the Changing World Order' by Ray Dalio

The book examines history’s most turbulent economic and political periods to reveal why the times ahead will likely be radically different from those we have experienced in our lifetimes - but similar to those that have happened many times before.

'The Raging 2020s' by Alec Ross

In this, Ross weaves interviews with the world's most influential thinkers with fascinating stories of corporate activism, government failure and renewal, and innovative economic and political models being implemented around the world, to propose a new social contract - one that benefits workers and everyday citizens in the face of unprecedented global change.

'2030: How Today's Biggest Trends Will Collide and Reshape the Future of Everything' by Mauro Guillen

As per Guillen, by the year 2030, a new reality will take hold, and before you know it there will be more grandparents than grandchildren. The global economy will be driven by the non-Western consumer for the first time in modern history and there will be more global wealth owned by women than men. There will be more robots than workers and more currencies than countries. All these trends, currently underway, will change everything you know about the culture, the economy, and the world. The book is both a remarkable guide to the coming changes, revolutionizing the way you think about catastrophic change and its consequences.

'Big Little Breakthroughs' by Josh Linker

The book is a simple system to help everyday people become every day innovators. Its blurb reads, "Instead of shooting for a $10-billion payday or a Nobel Prize, the most prolific innovators focus on Big Little Breakthroughs - small creative acts that unlock massive rewards over time. By cultivating daily micro-innovations, individuals and organizations are better equipped to tackle tough challenges and seize transformational opportunities."
