Priyanka Chopra debuts cherry cola ombre hair, proving she’s never afraid to experiment

Priyanka Chopra’s cherry cola hair moment proves she’s never afraid to experiment

Priyanka Chopra has never treated hair like a fixed signature. If anything, she’s one celebrity who clearly enjoys switching things up. From sleek ponytails to dramatic waves and bold colour changes, the actor has always used hair as a way to refresh her look. And her latest appearance in New York proves she’s still in that experimental mood.

Spotted in the Chelsea neighbourhood on February 24, Priyanka stepped out with a striking cherry cola red ombre hairstyle that instantly caught attention. The colour, rich and dramatic, felt like a nostalgic nod to early 2010s beauty trends. But at the same time, it carried her usual modern polish.

A bold cherry cola hair moment

Priyanka first revealed the dip-dyed red shade at the premiere of The Bluff on February 17. But during her New York outing, the colour truly took centre stage.

The deep cherry tones blended into darker roots, creating a soft ombre effect that looked both bold and surprisingly wearable. It’s the kind of colour that instantly transforms a look. Dramatic without feeling overdone.

And on Priyanka, it worked beautifully.

Mermaid waves that amplify the drama

The styling played a huge role in making the colour stand out. Her hair was left long — almost waist-length — and styled in loose, natural mermaid waves. The soft texture gave the colour movement and depth.

She paired the waves with a deep side part, letting the hair fall naturally across her shoulders. The effect felt effortless, but still glamorous enough for a New York outing.

It’s the kind of styling that allows bold colour to shine without looking too rigid or over-styled.

A subtle nod to the boho braid trend

There was another interesting detail in the hairstyle. Along the hairline, delicate braids framed both sides of her face.

The small braids had a halo-like placement, giving the overall look a soft boho touch. It quietly reminded many of the crown braid trend that dominated the early 2010s — a style once loved by celebrities like Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens and Lauren Conrad.

But Priyanka kept it subtle. The braids didn’t overpower the look. They simply added texture and personality.

Why Priyanka’s hair experiments keep working

Priyanka Chopra has always been comfortable experimenting with her beauty looks. Over the years, she has tried everything from glossy Hollywood waves to edgy ponytails and dramatic lengths. She rarely sticks to one style for long.

And that’s exactly what keeps her beauty game interesting.

Her cherry cola hair feels like another successful experiment — playful, nostalgic and surprisingly fresh. It also marks a shift from the more gladiator-inspired looks she has been sporting while promoting The Bluff.

But if there’s one thing Priyanka has shown again and again, it’s this: she’s not afraid to change things up. And more often than not, those experiments end up becoming standout beauty moments.
