Planning a spa day at home? 5 things to try

Looking for the perfect way to de-stress while showing your skin, hair and body some love? You’ve come to the right place. Here are 5 things you can do at home when you don’t have time to head to a spa:

2/6

Use a DIY body scrub

Start your spa day with a homemade scrub. Simply mix sugar and warm coconut oil, and gently massage the scrub on damp skin by moving your hands in circular motions. Rinse and moisturise for smooth and rejuvenated skin.

3/6

Try on a face mask

You can nourish your skin with a homemade face mask that is suitable for all skin types. Mix yoghurt and honey and leave it for 10 to 15 minutes for soft and supple skin. You can also add turmeric and avocados to the mix and help prevent inflammation and bacterial growth.

4/6

Nourish your hair with a mask

You can make a hair mask suited to your needs with ingredients that are already in your kitchen. For dry and damaged hair, blend avocado and olive oil to create a nourishing mask. To achieve thick and shiny hair, try a mix of banana, honey, egg, and olive oil.

5/6

Show your feet some love

Taking care of your feet is easier than you think. Soak your feet in warm water and exfoliate dead skin cells with a DIY foot scrub by combining oatmeal, sea salt, and olive oil. Dry your feet gently with a towel and use moisturiser for soft and smooth skin.

6/6

Relax with a lymphatic drainage massage

You can end your relaxing spa day with a lymphatic drainage massage that will boost circulation and flush toxins out of your entire body. Use light pressure to stimulate the lymphatic system, starting with your neck and moving down towards your legs. Remember to always massage upwards towards the lymph nodes.
