Home remedies to get rid of black spots on the tongue

The human tongue is not only responsible for giving you the tastebuds, but is also an indicator of a person's overall health. There is a reason behind the tongue's unusual appearance, if it's too red, chances are there's something definitely wrong with your digestive system and if it's bluish or has black spots then there's a possibility that your blood is not sending out enough oxygen to the body tissues. But, there's nothing that can't be treated and the best part is there are a few home remedies to treat these ugly spots on the tongue.
2/6

Neem

Neem is known to fight bacterial infections and is a natural stain remover. All you need to do is boil a few neem leaves in a cup of water and rinse your mouth with the same. Gargle with neem water twice a day for a week and the black stains on your tongue will lighten over time.
3/6

Pineapple

Pineapple contains bromelain which eliminates the dark spots and gets rid of dead skin cells of the tongue. Just chew on some pineapple on a regular basis and you will notice that the black spots will start fading away.
4/6

Aloe vera

Aloe vera helps heal scars and spots faster by improving the collagen structure within the scar. To remove black spots, apply aloe vera gel on the dark spots or simply start consuming aloe vera juice.
5/6

Cinnamon and clove

Take two cinnamon sticks and 4 buds of clove. Boil these in water and cool the water. Once cool, gargle with this water twice a day to reduce the black spots.
6/6

Garlic

Rub a clove of garlic on the dark spots for a minute. Repeat this daily for a month.
