Transform your skin with this simple skin trick!

In the ever-evolving world of beauty and skincare, some effective treatments are very simple to do and deliver a great result. One such time-honoured beauty hack is to apply ice to the face. This cold therapeutic technique is also known as an ice facial session, which can be quietly done at home. Making its comeback this year for all the good reasons, let’s add some soothing chia seeds to it, which can give immediate and long-term benefits. Let’s see how one can create these chia seed ice cubes.

2/5

How does ice work on our skin?

Ice starts with reducing puffiness, especially around the eyes, as the cold constricts blood vessels, which in turn minimises swelling and soothes inflammation as well. It shrinks large pores, which attract impurities and sebum, and acts as a temporary pore minimiser by tightening the skin. This offers a smoother overall appearance and better settling down of skincare or makeup.

How will chia seeds help in this?

The tiny texture of chia seeds makes them a natural exfoliant. When you’re creating these ice cubes, make sure to grind your chia seeds and then freeze them with water. Work it on your face in circular motions. This will surely unclog the pores and brighten your skin without the use of harsh chemicals. So, this is a sign for you to try this natural technique for reducing large pores and getting that tightened, smooth texture.

How does it provide the instant glow?

A quick chia seed with ice facial session can instantly revive dull skin. Ice stimulates blood circulation, which gives your face a radiant overall glow. Perfect for big events and sleepless nights. On the other hand, chia is a natural exfoliant that will remove all the dirt and oil, blessing your skin with an overall glowing face.

How to make this at home?

Step 1: Take 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in 2 tablespoons of water, and wait until you see a gel-like texture. You can also add some honey or mint leaves to this water.

Step 2: Blend it well, and then pour the entire mixture into an ice cube tray.

Step 3: Place the tray in the freezer, and when it is completely frozen, you can start applying it patiently.

Step 4: Gently rub one ice cube over the face and on the neck in a circular motion for 3 minutes. You can wrap this cube in a thin cloth to avoid harsh contact.

Step 5: Wash your face after 5 minutes and complete your skincare routine with serums and moisturisers.
