Apply eyeliner like a pro!

Have you ever been jealous of those girls who know how to perfectly nail an eyeliner stroke, creating a winged or cat-eye look? Then don’t worry, as you can be one of them before the upcoming wedding season. Winged eyeliner immediately makes your eyes look bigger, bolder, and sharper and therefore has always been in trend. For this, you will need a liquid liner with a felt tip, or you can also use a gel waterproof eyeliner. But the best stroke is always achieved with an eyeliner brush, making beauty look like an art. But whatever you are comfortable with, start with it.

2/6

Step 1: Prep your eyes

Start by prepping your eye area using a concealer or eyeshadow primer. Make the base as smooth as butter and decorate it with your choice of eyeshadow. If you are a beginner, then keep it safe with muted eyeshadow hues and then switch to a bold smoky show. Already curl your eyelashes, but do not apply the mascara. You can put your kohl stroke first and then move on to the eyeliner section.

Step 2: Want to create a sleek and fine winged eyeliner touch?

If you wish to ditch the boring eyeshadow look and wish to try something bold yet easy, then create a winged eyeliner eyeshadow using makeup tapes attached near the eye area, which will create a winged-line design. You can make it darker, according to your choice and then combine it with a winged liner, mascara, and kohl finish.

Step 3: Start with the first line

Use a liquid eyeliner and draw a short and thin line from the outer corner of the eye, extending the natural curve of your lower lash line, and choose a desired length. But don’t go past the end of your eyebrow. If you are having trouble getting a smooth line freehand, then try making a series of small dots and then connecting them. You can also use a piece of tape or an eyeliner stencil, which is actually a beauty tool.

Step 4: Line the upper lid

Now, line the upper eyelid by using a liquid eyeliner. You can draw a line across the upper eyelid and follow the natural curve of your upper lash line. From there, draw the inner corner of your eye and take a stroke to the outer corner, continuing it with the parallel first line you made. Now, focus on creating a smooth line and filling the gaps. Be gentle and patient with this step, as it is the make-or-break point.

Step 5: Fill in the gap

Now that you have an outline, fill in the gaps with more black colour, making it look iconic and bold. Complete your eye makeup with mascara-laden lashes and add a hint of glitter in the inner circle of your eye, which makes you look no less than a rockstar. You can continue with your makeup, and in the next chapter, we will learn how to swiftly create a cat-eye liner stroke, giving you the Rihanna look that you crave.
