Going back to roots

When the urban tribe had spent the better part of the decade experimenting with chemical peels, chemical loaded shampoos, and cleansers which yielded little results- they are now looking back to what they left behind. Nature holds solutions to majority of skin problems. Plants like neem have so much medicinal components that they work beyond skincare and helps in various way for a human body. Choosing chemical loaded products is not only promoting the use of excess chemicals deteriorating the quality of air around us but also damaging our skin and health to a large extent. Skin is the largest organ of our body and needs to be well taken care of.

Neem

This ayurvedic herb has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties. One of the benefits of neem leaves for skin is that it can also treat skin infections, soothe irritation and reduce inflammation without drying out the skin. You can bathe with neem-infused water to keep infections at bay.

Organic sandalwood

It is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory herb that has cooling properties on skin. It also helps as an anti-aging formula on wrinkles and sagging of skin. Its anti-inflammatory properties help in skin rashes or acne and gives an even, bright flawless skin. Using a sandalwood paste two to three times a week gives a clear and flawless complexion to skin.

​Saffron

Saffron benefits skin because it contains many vitamins and antioxidants that are beneficial to the skin. It is anti-inflammatory and soothes skin. It is antifungal and can be used to treat acne. Known to lighten skin, saffron is also used as an ingredient in many beauty products.

Turmeric

It benefits the skin in more ways than one. This age-old ingredient is loaded with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components which help treat a number of skin concerns such as acne and acne scars, pigmentation, early signs of ageing and sun damage, to name a few. This easily-available yellow spice gets its skin-enhancing properties mainly from curcumin, an active component that provides glow and luster to the skin. From acne to stretch marks and psoriasis, turmeric is a miracle ingredient for your skin.

Tulsi

Owing to its healing, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties, tulsi benefits the skin by preventing blackheads, acne and relieves skin infections, to name a few. Rich in vitamin K and antioxidants, tulsi benefits hair by stimulating blood circulation and promoting hair growth amongst others.
