Soren while addresssing Jharkhand assembly on the last day of the monsoon assembly accused BJP for "destroying" the Indian economy through "wrong policies".

Soren also said that the BJP is involved in divisive politics based on religion to gain electoral advantage.

"The country is passing through a difficult phase; the economy is in peril, due to the wrong policies of the BJP-led central government. They are hell-bent on making the country's condition worse than Pakistan," Soren said.

Despite protests from BJP members in the House against his remarks, Soren continued his criticism, stating that the nation's assets were being sold off indiscriminately while the lives of farmers hung in the balance.

Soren also said the people of Ayodhya gave a befitting reply to the BJP for "dividing the country" on religious lines in the Lok Sabha elections.
