NEW DELHI: Stating that only 21 out of the 40 lakh youths registered in the employment exchange were given jobs in Madhya Pradesh last year, Congress on Saturday said the 18-year rule of BJP has ruined the younger generation in the state with scams and a free run given to the “education mafia”.

Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza said there are over two crore youths in MP, and lack of employment is a serious crisis. If voted to power, Congress will work to undo the problem created by the BJP rule, she said.

Oza said the hold of the education mafia in the state can be gauged from the fact that the massive Vyapam scam has been followed by nursing recruitment scam, police constable recruitment scam, teacher recruitment scam and patwari recruitment scam.

“All the government jobs were lost to scams,” the Congress leader claimed, adding, “In 2022, about 40 lakh children and youth were registered in the Employment Exchange and it is shameful that out of them, the government was able to provide jobs to only 21 people.”

She said there have not been any nursing jobs through examinations in the last three years.
