JABALPUR: The Uttar Pradesh police on Monday submitted an affidavit before the Madhya Pradesh High Court giving details of pending cases against Raja Bhaiyya and his relative Akshay Pratap Singh, who are facing charges under POTA.
Before deciding on a bail plea by Raja Bhaiyya in a POTA case that was transferred to Jabalpur from Kanpur following a Supreme Court order, the court had directed state police chief to file an affidavit giving details of pending cases against the duo.

Raja Bhaiya, on December 2, had moved the High Court against rejection of his bail plea by a designated POTA court.
The High Court is yet to give its verdict on the bail plea.
Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, who along with his father Uday Singh and Akshay, is facing charges under POTA, was brought from Pratapgarh district jail on November 26 and was lodged in the central jail ever since.
As per the Supreme Court directives, records relating to the case were transferred to Madhya Pradesh from the Kanpur POTA court.
Raja Bhaiya had resigned from the ministry on November 10 and surrendered before the designated POTA court in Kanpur on November 14 after the Supreme Court quashed the state government order withdrawing POTA charges against him.
