Farmers asking for MSP, youngsters want jobs, but no one listening: Rahul

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi criticized the central government on Thursday during a rally in Rajasthan's Bikaner. He said that that farmers are demanding MSP, youth wants job, and women seek relief from inflation, but the government is not listening to them.

Rahul Gandhi also reiterated the party's big guarantees mentioned in its manifesto including the repealing of Agniveer scheme.

Congress in its recently released manifesto has promised to introduce a law on minimum support price for farmers if voted to power.

Mahalaxmi Yojana for women

Rahul Gandhi during his rally in Bikaner also mentioned that the Mahalaxmi Yojana announced by them will empower the women as Rs 1 lakh will be credited into their account every year.

'Apprenticeship scheme to create jobs'

Rahul Gandhi said that apprenticeship scheme will open the doors for employment for youth, along with the financial assistance during the training period. Under this act, the party will give one-year apprenticeship to every diploma holder or college graduate below the age of 25.

'90 bureaucrats run the country'

Congress leader reiterated the need for more representation of backward castes in bureaucracy, saying that there are only three bureaucrats out of 90 bureaucrats who run the country. ​"It is an election of the backwards, Dalits, tribals and poor people in the general category," said Rahul during the rally.
