Punjab ADGP convicted for murder

chandigarh: additional director-general of punjab police daljit singh bhullar and three others have been convicted by a patiala court for murdering a business partner of bhullar's son and two others five years ago. besides bhullar, who is on bail and posted in the state electricity board's vigilance department, the others convicted by patiala district and sessions judge s n aggarwal on wednesday were ladwinder singh, agya pal singh and assistant sub-inspector krishan kumar.the court would pronounce the quantum of sentence on friday. the fifth accused in the case sandeep ohri was acquitted. on the night of september 16, 1996, the charred bodies of paramjit singh sahota, business partner of bhullar's son, satnam singh, an employee of sahota's firm, and a taxi driver vikram singh were found in a car in ghaggar majra village. the case was investigated by the cbi. bhullar was present in the court when the judgment was pronounced.
