BJP's political history in the state

As per political analysts, Karnataka holds significant importance for the BJP in southern India, being the sole state where the party has previously held power. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the BJP secured 25 out of the total 28 seats in the state. Additionally, an independent candidate supported by the BJP emerged victorious. (PTI)

'BJP, winner before the polls'

Observing the fervor among the crowds, PM remarked that Karnataka seems poised to secure a record-breaking victory for the BJP in numerous constituencies. He further noted that the state has seemingly predetermined the election outcome even prior to the official announcement of polls. (PTI)

Emphasizing his recent tour across different regions of southern India during the past few days, the Prime Minister remarked that the populace is viewing the BJP with a sense of hope. He said, "across south India people from all sections and fields have given their immense support to the BJP. Looking at this huge support that BJP is getting in south Congress and INDIA alliance people are saying, one of your leaders even said in parliament, our opponents are saying -- it will be the BJP this time."
