PM Modi, President Kovind, others condole Ram Vilas Paswan's death

Ram Vilas Paswan, Union minister and LJP founder, passes away
NEW DELHI: Union minister and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) founder Ram Vilas Paswan passed away on Thursday. The news of his demise was shared by his son and LJP chief Chirag Paswan on his Twitter handle.
"Papa...you are no more in the world but I know you will always be with me... Miss you papa," he wrote on Twitter.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and a number of other political leaders condoled the death of LJP patron.

Ram Vilas Paswan had undergone a heart surgery at a hospital a few days ago. He had been in active politics for more than five decades and was one of the country's most noted Dalit leaders.
He was the minister for consumer affairs, food and public distribution.
