On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the renowned Lord Balaji temple at Tirumala to offer prayers. This marked his fourth visit to the hill temple since assuming the role of Prime Minister.

Chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and EO AV Dharma Reddy, along with the priests and officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, warmly greeted the Prime Minister with the traditional "Isthikapal" welcome as he arrived at the Mahadwaram (main entrance) of the temple.

Guided to the inner sanctum, PM Modi briefly worshipped Lord Venkateswara while chief priest Venugopala Deekshitulu and others recounted the Sthala Puranam to the PM.

PM Modi visited the temple at 8 am, where the TTD chairman and EO presented a picture memento of Lord Balaji, a TTD coffee table book, as well as the 2024 new year calendars and diaries to the PM.

Concluding his two-day visit to Tirupati, the Prime Minister departed from Tirupati airport to engage in election-related events in the neighboring state of Telangana later in the day ahead of polls.
