Over 2,400 live turtles seized at Trichy International Airport, investigations underway

NEW DELHI: Officials of the Custom Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) on Sunday seized 2,447 live turtles brought by a PAX in his checked-in luggage.

The Trichy Customs officials said that based on intelligence, the officers seized 2447 live turtles.

"PAX arrived from Kuala Lumpur in Batik Air flight No. OD 221 on December 29. Further investigation under progress," the officials said in a post on X. More details are awaited.
