Homestays have sparked a new set of economic activities in villages

Sixty-six-year-old Nagen Gurung of Tinchulay village, 32kms from Darjeeling, West Bengal, wants his six-year-old daughter Mohini to grow up and pursue a degree in hospitality and then take care of his homestay business.

Gurung says that now his daughter won't have to leave home in search of a job like some years back when most of the youths had to migrate to big cities in search of employment.
