Political leaders welcome IAF pilot Abhinandan's return from Pakistan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman and said that nation was proud of his valour.

BJP President Amit Shah welcomed Wing Commander Abhinandan's return saying that wishing him a long and bright future in the armed forces.

Defence minister Nirmala Sitharaman celebrated Abhinandan's arrival with a crisp "Jai Hind".

Congress president Rahul Gandhi said that Abhinandan's "dignity, poise and bravery made us all proud".

Arvind Kejriwal, chief minister of Delhi calling Abhinandan a hero said that the nation was grateful to him.

Naveen Patnaik, chief minister of Odisha, too welcomed IAF Wing Commander back home.

Cpt. Amarinder Singh, chief minister of Punjab admired Abhinandan's resoluteness and poise in the face of adversity.

Yogi Adityanath, chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, said that the nation salutes Abhinandan.

CPIM chief Sitaram Yechury welcomed back the IAF pilot.

Ashok Gehlot, chief minister of Rajasthan, said that he is relieved and glad that Wing Commander Abhinandan is back home.

Rajnath Singh, home minister, said that the entire nation is proud of Abhinandan.

Omar Abdullah, leader of National Confrence said that it is great to have the IAF pilot back home.

Rajiv Pratap Rudy, MP and BJP spokesperson said that the entire nation salutes Abhinandan.

Pon Radhakrishnan, Union minister of state for finance and shipping, said that millions enjoy Abhinandan's return.

Ahmad Patel, Member of Parliament, said that it is great have the IAF pilot back.
