Political leaders welcome IAF pilot Abhinandan's return from Pakistan

There was a sigh of relief after a long and anxious wait as Indian Air Force Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman finally stepped into Indian territory at the Attari-Wagah border at around 9:15 pm on Friday. Political leaders cutting across party lines welcomed the return of India's Braveheart.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman and said that nation was proud of his valour.

BJP President Amit Shah welcomed Wing Commander Abhinandan's return saying that wishing him a long and bright future in the armed forces.
