Destruction leaves population displaced

The landslide has left a trail of destruction in its wake, with several houses destroyed, bridges collapsed, water bodies swollen and trees uprooted. This has forced to people in the areas to relocate to safer spaces. Several families have been moved to the various camps or homes of their relatives in the wake of the landslides. (Photo: ANI)

Harsh rescue conditions

Torrential downpours persisting in the area have worsened the situation. Many people are feared to be trapped under the debris, and the roads to and from Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala, and Noolpuzha have been washed away, severely hindering rescue efforts. (Photo: PTI)
