Celebrates Janmashtami at home

Former President Ram Nath Kovind posted some pictures on on X and said, "Delighted to celebrate Sri Krishna Janmashtami at home with family. May Lord Krishna's blessings bring peace, prosperity, and joy to all."

Jai Shri Krishna!

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his wishes to the people on Janmashtami. On X, PM Modi wrote, "Wishing you all a very Happy Janmashtami. Jai Shri Krishna!"

On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, devotees flocked to various temples across the country to celebrate Lord Krishna's birthday with full pomp and show on Monday.

The sound of bells, mridangs, and conch shells echoed across the temples in the country.

​Krishna an established 'Jagat Guru'

The chief minister of Madhya Pradesh participated in Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at his residence, marking the holy festival of faith, devotion, and joy. He shared on X: "May the grace of Shri Krishna rest upon all, and may happiness, prosperity, and success increase in life."

We will promote research associated with Lord Krishna's academic pursuits," he said. The friendship between Lord Krishna and Sudama is very inspirational and it is historic that after coming to the state for education, Krishna was established as a 'Jagat Guru', he added.

President Draupadi Murmu posted on X: "I greet all my countrymen on ‍ auspicious occasion of ‍ . This festival inspires us to be dedicated to the divine ideals of Lord Shri Krishna. ​Yogi Adityanath lights lamp, offers flowers

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath attended Shri Krishna Janmashtami celebrations at Gorkhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, where a child dressed as Shri Krishna recited a bhajan.

On the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmotsav, he also inaugurated a cultural program at Lucknow Police Lines, lighting the lamp and offering flowers to a statue of Lord Krishna.

Devotees flock ISKCON temples across India

Large number of devotees gathered at the ISKCON Temple for the Darshan of Lord Krishna on Krishna Janmashtami. In Mathura, morning aarti was performed at the Shri Krishna Janmasthan temple, where women devotees joyfully chanted songs dedicated to Lord Krishna.
