Isha Foundation to celebrate Maha Shivratri with a 5-day event

will be celebrating Mahashivratri on February 21 by organising a five-day-long residential programme starting from February 18 at Isha Yoga Centre in the city of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The annual event is expected to be attended by lakhs of people from across the globe.

"The 14th day of every lunar month, a day before the new moon day, is referred to as Shivratri. On this day, there is a natural upsurge in the human energy system. The whole system of yoga and spiritual process as such is about enhancing a human being from his limitations to his limitlessness. For this enhancement to happen, the most fundamental process is that there is an activation, an upward movement of energy. So for all those who are aspiring to be a little more than who they are right now, Shivratri is of significance, MahaShivRatri is of particular significance," the spiritual guru said underlining the importance of the festival.

The event will feature explosive guided meditations accompanied by dance and music, nightlong Satsang with Sadhguru and musical performances by eminent artists.
