Insurance for frontline health workers extended by 6 months

NEW DELHI: The government has extended the

insurance

scheme for

frontline health workers

by six more months. The decision was taken on Friday at a meeting chaired by PM Narendra Modi.

The PM chaired the meeting to review the functioning of various empowered groups on Covid-19. Modi also directed officials to take steps to expedite the settlement of pending insurance claims so that dependents of the deceased are able to avail the benefits.
