In pictures: All about Akashteer, India’s pioneering indigenous air defence system deployed during Operation Sindoor

It is developed by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). The first batch of 'Project Akashteer' was flagged from Ghaziabad. This marked a major step towards building indigenous capabilities for automating Air Defence operations, in line with the goal of achieving aatmanirbharta (self-resilience) in the defence sector.
