In a social media post on X, Rahul said, "Often, it is in the darkest times that the light of humanity shines the brightest."
"During the stampede at New Delhi Railway Station, the porter brothers set an example of humanity by saving the lives of many passengers. Today, on behalf of the people of the country, I thanked them for their efforts. However, it is important to learn from such incidents. Crowd control, the use of modern technology, improved infrastructure, and strengthened emergency systems can help prevent such accidents. I hope the government will take concrete steps in this direction so that every class of passengers can travel safely," he added. (Image credit: X)

Earlier in the week, Rahul Gandhi met with local students and residents of his Lok Sabha constituency, Raebareli. He discussed issues related to education, jobs, and community development.
