Former West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh, 60, got married on Friday evening to party colleague Rinku Majumdar. The two reportedly met during morning walks and gradually developed a close bond since their acquaintance in 2021.

He transitioned into politics and joined the BJP in 2015, eventually becoming the state president in West Bengal. Bride Rinku Majumdar's proposal for marriage
A BJP leader close to the couple said the marriage proposal came from Rinku Majumdar’s side. The decision to marry was finalised during an IPL match earlier this month, which both attended together.

While this is Ghosh’s first marriage, it is Majumdar’s second. She has a son from her previous marriage. Despite their personal lives, both are active in party activities and maintain a public political presence.
Marrying for mother's wish
Speaking to the media, Ghosh said he is marrying to fulfil his late mother’s wish and assured that his political activities will continue unaffected. “My personal life will not impact my political work,” he stated.
