Couple held with heroin in Jammu

JAMMU: Two drug peddlers — a man and his wife — were apprehended with 28 gms of heroin which was seized from them here on Sunday, a police official said. This is the fourth such case since June, three couples have been arrested in drug peddling cases.

Police said, “A patrolling police party intercepted one Rahul Singh Jamwal and his wife Shagun Chandel at Channi Himmat as they were roaming in the area raising suspicion. The duo was frisked which led to the recovery of 28 gms of heroin from them.”

An FIR was filed under relevant sections of the NDPS Act. Further probe is on.
