This year from the Kanker constituency, Bhojraj Nag (BJP) and Biresh Thakur (Congress) are contesting against each other.

Lok Sabha 2019 election resultIn 2019, Kanker parliamentary constituency had total 1558952 electors. Total number of valid vote was 1159193. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Mohan Mandavi won and became MP from this seat. He secured total 546233 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Biresh Thakur stood second with total 539319 votes. He lost by 6914 votes. Meanwhile, in 2014, in Kanker sitting MLA, Vikram Usendi, retained the seat by defeating Phulo Devi Netam by 35,158 votes.

Voting date and resultThe Kanker Lok Sabha constituency is scheduled to vote on 26th April 2024, with the Election Commission announcing results on 4th June, as per their statement on March 16.
