Durg is one of the Lok Sabha constituencies in Chhattisgarh state in central India which covers Patan, Durg Gramin, Durg City, Bhilai Nagar, Vaishali Nagar, Ahiwara (SC), Saja, Bemetara, and Navagarh (SC).
CandidatesThis year from the Korba constituency, Vijay Baghel (BJP) and Rajendra Sahu (Congress candidate) are standing against each other. Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP) also released its list and gave a ticket to Manharan Singh Thakur.
Lok Sabha 2019 election resultIn 2019, Durg parliamentary constituency had total 1940269 electors. Total number of valid vote was 1391996. Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Vijay Baghel won and became MP from this seat. He secured total 849374 votes. Indian National Congress candidate Pratima Chandrakar stood second with total 457396 votes. She lost by 391978 votes.
Voting date and resultThe Durg Lok Sabha constituency is scheduled to vote on 7th May 2024, with the Election Commission announcing results on 4th June, as per their statement on March 16.
