KOCHI: All the 15 crew of the ill-fated South Korean cargo vessel MV Halala, which sank off Sri Lankan waters on Wednesday, are safe.
The vessel was on its way from Indonesia to Kochi when it developed some technical problems, the ship's agents said.
The ship, which embarked on its journey from Betung port in Indonesia three weeks ago, was carrying about 1700 tonnes of copra cake for Kerala Solvents and Extracts Ltd (KSEL), Chief General Manager, Anand Menon, said.

It developed some engineering problem and began drifting to the Andamans a few days ago.
