BSF takes down drone from Pakistan

GURDASPUR: The BSF brought down a China-made drone from Pakistan, which intruded into Indian airspace in Gurdaspur district in Punjab.

A BSF spokesperson said troopers noticed a drone near Rossay village bordering Pakistan and opened fire, bringing it down late on Friday night. The drone, a quadcopter (DJI Mavic 3 Classic), was recovered on Saturday morning during a search operation, the spokesperson said.

Sources said it is not clear if the drone already dropped drugs or other contraband in the area before it was shot down.
