NEW DELHI: Katihar is one of the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Bihar. Elections in Bihar will take place in 7 phases. Votes would be counted on June 4.
Date of votingParliamentary elections in Katihar will take place in Phase 2 on April 26 as announced by the Election Commission of India on March 16.
CandidatesKey candidates who would be contesting from this seat include Tariq Anwar from INC and Dulalchand Goswami from JD(U). The former is a part of Mahagathbandhan alliance while the latter is a part of the BJP-led NDA bloc.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Dulal Chandra Goswami of JD(U) emerged victorious by securing 50.05% of the votes polled. He won against Tariq Anwar of INC who could manage to secure 44.93% of the votes polled.
ResultThe votes would be counted simultaneously for all seats across the country on June 4.
